Didsbury Women’s Cricket Club was formed in 2010 in a bid to encourage more female players to try the sport. After a year of training hard and playing friendlies against local teams, the women entered the Cheshire Women’s League Division 3 in 2012 and brought home the trophy as winners of the division. After winning Division 2 twice, we were promoted to Division 1 winning our first Div 1 League title in 2019.
The team currently consists of women from different sporting backgrounds, ages and ability. We welcome both experienced and new players so if you fancy trying out cricket but don’t know the difference between your googly and your mullygrubber don’t worry, the most important thing is that we are a friendly bunch and want to spread our love for cricket!
