After a dramatic weekend, please find attached the last newsletter of the season. It includes the final league table standings as well as the Fair Play Marks for 2024 - my thanks to Simon Smith for his work in compiling this.

It is not the last cricket of 2024, however, with the Cheshire Cup Final rescheduled for Sat 21st Sept at Hyde CC, for 'take 2' of Hyde v Didsbury. Play starts at 11.30am and all are welcome. Over 40s Finals Day is also still to happen, this scheduled for Sunday 22nd Sept at Upton CC. Chester play Hyde and wallasey play Sale in the semi-finals, with a listed start time of 11.00am. The very best of luck to all teams competing this weekend.

My congratulations to all those who have finished at the right end of things and commiserations for those for whom 2024 will be a season best forgotten! Certainly the wet weather and frequency of damp/difficult conditions have presented more challenges than could reasonably be expected.

I hope you have enjoyed the new-look newsletter, and the more regular appearance of it, during 2024. Discussions are on-going as to plans for 2025 but if you know of people who would like to be included in a regular mailig, please let me know.
